I did some auto crossing years ago and it was a blast. I have to admit while watching your video there was one point where I didn't know which way to go. There was a couple different cones laying down, I probably would have stopped and studied it for a bit...

I have been doing AX events for the past couple of years, and this year I have beeen running my vette. first off, most places are fine with a convertable with no roll bar, as long as you have a snell2010 helmet. each club might have slightly different rules and some may require a roll bar for a Vert, but most don't. It is not hard on your brakes, but it is hard on tires, although last year I ran my normal street tires all year and they survived just fine, a bit more wear than just normal daily driving but still pleanty of life left on the so do not be afraid to take your vette. The other thing that i have learned and continue to learn is slower is faster. In other words many will go as fast as they can then brake hard for turns, while other will not go as hard and then brake way less so as not to lose as much momentum through the turns. This approach is usually faster overall, you will figure this out over time if you persist. It is really very much fun. I will say i perfer this over track days, while you do go much faster on a track day, the course is always the same while Ax changes race to race, and with AX as soon as you are in one turn the next one is right there already staring at you while on a track you have much more time between turns. Ax ends up bieng more demanding and exciting overall.
