"competion mode" MIA
I have a situation I hope you can help me with. I have a 2005 Coupe Z51 that has beentrouble free for 25000 miles.
Recently I have been getting a "service AH system" warning.
Very irregular, it may com on 2 or 3 times in one day then go a week or more with out showing up.
After reading some of the possible cosiquences I took it to my dealer for a check up. They informed me that I would need to leave my car there over night. When I returned the next day and paid for the "repairs" I walked to my car and found they had left it parked overnight without putting it in reverse and the battery was dead.
This was late Saturday and they told me I would have to come back Monday to pick it up.
OK, not happy but I'm an easy guy to get along with. So now it's Monday and I show up for my car and don'tcha know,, "Battery was shot so we put in a new one for ya at our cost" That translates to a bill for me of $92.00
So now I'm on my way home and I decide to punch up the "competition mode" MIA one push "TS off", two push "TS on" no "comp mode" So I'm wondering is there a restart/reset for a power loss for an extended time? Or do I have to get my Uncle Knuckles Banzini to talk to the dealer?

Is that the same as Competitive Driving Mode?
There are 4 separate modes:
1. Traction Control - On .... Active Handling - On (Engages when the car is started)
This is the default mode.
This is recommended for normal driving.
2. Traction Control - Off .... Active Handling - On (Engage with 1 push of the button)
Turning off TCS allows the rear wheels to spin, but allows the Active Handling to fully assist in skid control.
This is recommended for drag racing.
3. Traction Control - Off .... Active Handling - Reduced (Engage with 2 pushes of the button)
This is the Competitive Driving Mode which allows the rear wheels to spin, while reducing some of the input that Active Handling has to assist in skid control.
This is recommended for road racing.
4. Traction Control - Off .... Active Handling - Off (Engage by holding button for at least 5 sec.)
This may be used when the driver does not want any on-board sensor input that may effect power reduction or brake application.
No rear wheel spin or vehicle skid corrections are automatically applied.
Note: The Anti-Lock Braking System (ABS) is always on and is unaffected by the various Traction Control or Active Handling selections that may be made above.
Thanks for the reply. I have searched the forum for info on this and found the above thread. My question is not addressed there. I can not get the "competitive driving mode" to come up. I was able to find the reset for the window indexing but I'm not having any luck with the "CDM". I'm off to the dealer AGAIN but I'm not optomistic about the results.
I'll post the results when I return.

Brake pedal sensor? brake pedal position sensor?
That would seem logical for one reason. About a week ago a total stranger (nice lady) stopped me to say that as she followed me my brake lights would come on as I accelerated and randomly as I went along. She said she didn't think I was aware of it. Maybe it was coincidental that it happened while my AHS warning was on?
anyway that was what the dealer repaired and charged me for. We will see if the AHS warning returns.

You were right about a "0" tire pressure reading. My dealer wanted to replace the sensor (at a nominal cost). I asked to see the GM notification and it said farther down in the explanation that the sensors needed to be "relearned" 10 minute job and all was well. NO new sensor.. Advice to all, when you have a power loss due to battery failure find out what programs may or may not be affected. I will post any other problems that may arise from this.
THANKS AGAIN!
You guys know your "STUFF"
