Any opinions on splash guards on a C6 base coupe? I originally thought no way, but after seeing some pics of the splash guards, they look pretty good. 2012 Base Coupe, Torch red
I put them on my 2005 coupe..... got them from Gene Culley. I think they look great. I say get 'em!
:agree: Absolutely!!! I ordered them as soon as I bought my 2008, and put them on as soon as they arrived. They do protect your paint, and they are barely noticeable.

Torch Red with GCA splash guards. To me they give the wheel wells a more finished look.

at first I wasn't sure if I'd like the way they would look.
So stuck them on temporarily and after taking them off, the car looked better with them on IMO
Glad I got them
Possible issues with brake cooling, aero lift, and aero drag. Since they are a GM product, I wouldn't expect any major problems. But still...
Talk about struggling to find a problem.
As mentioned, our car is doing just fine without them at 48,000 miles. (post #17)
One might say that those who buy them have a solution in search of a problem.
Your car, your money, your choice.
EDITED TO ADD:
Even though I don't think they are necessary for protection, I do think they give the wheel wells a more "finished" look, and may put them on just for that reason. Decisions, decisions...

I like mine. They certainly cut down the amount of road grime that ends up on the qtr panels. Ive got the GM ones. Look good, dont stick out too far, easy install. Everyone that has them, like em
