Dry sump system on 2010 GS:
Also, like a Z06, the dry-sump GS has a rear-mounted battery.
Whereas, the non-dry-sump C6 has the battery underhood next to the engine.
The difference between the two systems is NOT trivial -- especially when performing an oil change:
-- the non-ds LS3 holds about 6 quarts of oil
-- the dry-sump version holds about 10.5 quarts
It's pretty easy to imagine how an unknowledgable oil-change technician might seriously overfill or underfill the oil.
