Default Nitto Invos installed

Had Nittos from DiscountTireDirect.com put on my '11 GS . First thing I recognized was the road noise reduced considerably, and traction/steering response improvement. I may have set a world record because I got 15,800 miles out of the OEM tires. I don't drive that aggressive which probably helped . I ordered the tires late Thursday and they were on my porch early Saturday morning.

I had Hibdon Tires install them. The guy took special care, even cleaned the rims afterwards. I did notice the platform lift they use lifts the car from near the tires on all sides. The mini-lift on the platform lift wasn't anywhere near the outside of the frame.

The back was slightly out of alignment, the suspension guru there came over to make sure the tech referenced the plate inside the glove compartment concerning the type of GS suspension (FE3) before they fired off the lasers for the alignment. They used the VIN# which brought up the exact information in their computer. It didn't surprise me the alignment was out of whack a little, the roads around some parts of Tulsa and Oklahoma City are terrible. I avoid them if I can but sometimes there is a new terrible road discovered each day.

I trust the guys at the Hibdon Tire center in Tulsa Hills. I've been going there for a few years and the senior techs they have in the garage haven't changed and have always backed up their work. Out the door I paid $157 for alignment , tire disposal fee, and install.

I like the Nittos. Been through 2 sets. Now I have Hankook Evos and like them also. Going on 15k so we will see how they last compared to the Nitto (22k).

If you are asking me, I went in to get the car aligned and found out the problem was two bad wheel bearings.

I had it checked. My car is the exception I think....85,000 and has never needed an alignment since I took delivery.

Good to hear. Once my noisy BFGs are done I will probably try the Invos.

Yes, they checked the alignment and came to me showing what needed to be adjusted. The front alignment was fine, but the rear was slightly out of alignment. It didn't surprise me, if you have ever driven on the roads in Oklahoma they are always under construction...or really needing work

They aligned it, took it out and drove it around to check the tire mounting and then put it back on the rack to verify the alignment.

The CrapYears on my GS died at 9K. I had Invos mounted/balanced for $1,200. That was 8K miles ago. So far, the Invos are showing minimal wear. Also, they have brought me home on at least three different occasions in torrential rain. I have nothing but good things to say about these tires.

I have them on my GS and they are great.

I will put some on my base C6 if I don't end up selling it first. My original tires still have plenty of tread on them though. It could be 1 to 2 years away before a change is needed.
