Just put a deposit on a c-6 convert traded in a 2003 spiral grey cpnvert The 06 is monterey red with cashmere interior cashmere top 6 speed auto with paddle shift, z51 handeling 3LT 14000 miles 38500 any thoughts on it
Since you have already traded in your car and put a deposit, Why would you even ask?. An 06 vert is worth what you are willing to pay for it. Many have been bought for less than 38K.
NADA.com is your friend.
I have that car and I paid less but mine had a lot more miles. The fact you have an 2006 loaded Vert with only 14K miles is good.
You will always find people on here who either bought theirs for less or think you paid too much. I think there is actually a premium you pay for used Vette Verts that come in either Monterey Red (or Crystal) or JSB or AO. And of course, the convertible option adds a lot, along with the paddle shift and Z51. I'm also figuring the other options are on the car as well, which means you have a fully loaded Convertible with only 14K miles.
Congrats on you new purchase. This is the same vette we purchased last year. An 06 with 30k miles, same color combo and equipment, we gave $30k and feel it was right for us. It has been worth every dollar. We just love it and totally enjoy the ride. We live in Northern California and there are a lot of very nice mountain drives we take. This was our first and it is special to us. The car is solid and fun. Enjoy it!
It's tough to tell how good or bad the deal was because:
Since your prifile isn't filled out, we have no idea where you are. There's a big difference in pricing in the U.S. vs. Canada.
You didn't tell us what you got for your trade. Whether the deal was good or bad depends on how much you paid after factoring in the trade, not what the asking price of the car was.
In a strictly absolute sense, I'd say the '06 would be worth roughly $30K in the U.S. assuming excellent condition.

And I would add two things:
1. welcome to the world of C6s, enjoy your new-to-you Corvette and,
2. the variation of prices like tampa and Mike above says, is almost too endless to go on about---suffice to say, like antiques, anything is worth what a willing and ready buyer pays for it on that day, that hour, that place.
I once saw an almost pristine Gullwing that was owned by Clark Gable (yes, the one MB uses in its ads occasionally) go for under $5500 at an antiques auction. Of course, that WAS a very long time ago and maybe the town's name had something to do with it: New Hope.

Where you live makes a difference. In my area, you can get a low mileage 07 for that kind of money. Great color combination.
