Mod bug has bit again. Being more of a DIYer, I want to paint my console, gauge pods and a few other items Machine Silver. Anyone on here tackle this feat or something similar?
Yes, I changed out the silver radio bezel and steering wheel spokes with carbon fiber, so I wanted to get rid of the silver on the gauge pods. I painted the gauge pods black and it looks 100% factory; like the 08-12's. Easy as pie. The only somewhat dificult part is removing and reinstalling. Worst case is you get a run, finger print, or other goof-up and have to sand and repaint. Dealerships frequently repaint door panels and other interior parts to make used cars look new again. Another really easy thing to do for worn steering wheel leather is to redye with KIWI leather dye. It makes the steering wheel look brand new with onlya few minutes of effort. Also, a whole lot cheaper and easier than changing wheels.
