I park far away but in the lines against one curb if poss.
Always get that "Your gonna make me walk all that way" comment from her, so now I offer to drop her first but she always declines. Can't win-em all. And she could use the walk also...
The kid is a axxhole and will continue to be one until his attitude changes.
Agree. What he really needed was just a good senseless beating for an attitude adjustment. Probably the only thing he would understand. Words are wasted on him. Someday he will mouth off to the wrong person.
I try to park as close as possible to the front door, ideally in between two newish SUVs so my car can't be seen unless you walk right behind it. SUV drivers usually have shortish doors so chances are they won't hit me if even if they are careless. And I don't attract unwanted attention by parking where everyone within a mile radius can spot my car.
First, the kid waiting for you has a chip on his shoulder! I would have told him that his question is rude and disrespectful.....as well I would have immediately continued and asked him why he thinks he is owed a answer to the question...who does he think he is? Then if he offered up anything resembling a reasonable response I would have engaged him further and called him out on judging me because I had a Corvette by asking if he would have had the same attitude if I parked my 12 year old beat up work truck in the same location.
The kid is a axxhole and will continue to be one until his attitude changes.
End rant...hate this attitude with a passion.

Scott
I couldn't agree more. It's hard to keep your cool in those situations, at least for me. You just want to say, "F off kid!".
I always park out away from others. Occassionaly some 'average' car will park next to me, just to be funny, but my car has always been fine.
I think that where ever you park, just take ONE spot and no worries. People get attitudes when they see any car in multiple spots even with an empty parking lot.
Heck, the other day I was in strip mall that was quite busy and there was a Chevy SUV Soccer mom truck parhed almost side ways taking up 3 1/2 spots right in the most congested section
I always try to park sensibly even in my daily driver. Prefer to keep it shiny and dent free too. It's a big quad cab p/u, so hard enough to park and get out of it w/o hitting others doors. Try to be mindful of parking lot slope to avoid rolling carts. Dont park at far end of lot, but try to just be far enough away to leave enough empty spots for the lazy ones. Take one spot. If another car around, just leave an empty space between.
If people were simply considerate of others, there would be no need to park out in the boonies or take up more than one space.
I don't think taking more than one space is the right thing to do, but again, it's something we see because so many people are not considerate of others
I try to park away from other cars, but sometimes it's not possible and just take my chances and park where ever possible and hope for the best
I must be strange! I never take my car to "Walmart" and if I do go into a congested area and need to park I review/scan the parking lot, and if there is nothing I like in that parking lot, I move to another one, just so I can get a space I like.
Sometimes it takes me longer to find a spot and park then it does to walk in and take care of my business.
Most people avoid having to walk any further than absolutely possible, therefore I park as far out as possible in an end spot as close to the curb as possible without inflecting wheel damage...........
always park at the end of the parking lot, but I always take two spots up I'm so far away that if people complain that I'm taking two spots up, then the heck with them (which never has happened to me).
I paid good money for my Z and take care of mine like no other, so I'll be darned if someone will fender bender or door ding me.
Never take up two spots! It makes you stand out.
Others will be attracted to someone who either thinks they are better, or are being arrogant.

I usually park close to the door but far out on either side. I don't make it look like I'm trying to park far away. As long as there's not a car in every spot. If it's a very busy parking lot I park in whatever spot I can find.

Agreed, and to add to that if I am uncertain what parking may be like where I am headed I won't take my car.
