O2 sensor for headers
Is the longer O2 sensor just for headers or is it needed to do change the mid pipe to an x pipe? Going to do the x pipe this week and change the exhaust manifold next week. I found a place to order on line but if its available in stores that would be great to, but it will take a few days for the big part to come in. Just going to use Z06 manifold for the ls2 engine.

If you are going to the Z06 exh manifold, you can't do the mid pipe one week and the manifolds the following. The mid pipes for an LS2 Vs LS7 are different and terminate in different locations. You would be way ahead if you get the mid pipe for the Z06 and then modify the back half to fit your existing over the axle pipes, or replace the pipes to match the 3" mid pipe and use new mufflers.
As for your question, unwrap the wire harness and separate the 02 wires and route them down the back of the cylinder heads and they will fit fine.

Ok cool, i will just wait until I do the manifolds before I get the x pipe. But the z06 manifold will work fine from the engine to stock (but modified cats) to a custom made x pipe to magnaflow mufflers right? Thanks for the info!
