I've never driven on a track before, nor have I raced. Basic street driver here without tickets. I'm curious about their intro Level 1, three day school. Did you by chance do that?

Did you stay in Vegas or at the school? I'm curious what others have done for their stay.

My track buddy, the wives and I just took the July 23-25 3-day school.
They run from 7am-3pm. It incorporates much class and on track experience. They start with seat position and hand position on the stick.

We covered full throttle braking without ABS and with ABS in the wet I might add.

We ran the wet figure 8 and a small oval that got wet with a wonderful downpour that poured inches of water on the track(all gone in 20 minutes). We were fortunate we got to drive in the rain.

We practiced heel and toe driving one morning with an instructor in the car and did a lot of lead follow and some follow lead.

Everything was followed by more class time and Q&A.

We got lots of open lapping done the second and third day.

We stayed at the condos at the track and they are top notch. Breakfast and lunch were excellent and we were treated extremely well.

All the instructors were helpful, patient and all had good things to say about every driver.

Anyone who wants to talk to me personally, shoot me an email. I'm ready to return next year.

I'm going to our local track Sat to try to apply my learning.
