Default NPP Conversion Question

I have a 07 base C6 vert (std suspension - not Z51). Is there any way to convert it to bimodal exhaust (NPP). My understanding is that the OEM NPP exhaust is a larger diameter pipe that my stock exhaust system.

You have to buy a 2008 NPP system ONLY. No other years will fit. Purchase "NPP in a box" and the mufflers and you will have a working NPP system!

I recently purchased an 08 vert with npp exhaust with a mild to wild switch. While it is cool to be able to switch from quiet to loud with the flick of a switch, I personally would purchase an after market exhaust if I did not have this system already on the car. I had a Corsa sport system on my c5 and I loved it. Great sound when you get on it with no drone while crusing. You will have to run a vacuum line with a tap to your manifold to operate the system, either a stock npp or a set of fusions, which are loud in my opinion. In a year or so when I pay down a few bills on this car I might change my npp for another corsa exhaust. Just my opinion. BTW I do not believe the npp is a larger diameter than yours. The Z06 system is.

Conversion can be done but it'll cost time and $$. You'll need a 2008 NPP if you want a direct bolt on but 2009 and up can be made to fit as can the Z06.

The NPP doesn't use larger exhaust pipe piping than the base. It does have larger tips and they are really separate tips unlike the "Y" tip of the base.

I have the NPP on my 07 with the original NPP in a Box that does not have a vacuum line run from the engine...tiny pump is in the trunk. Don't know if you can still buy one of those.

I did it for my 07. You can also look at another Forum Vendor, SunsetOrangeCreations (link below). They offer a number of systems for installing the NPP exhaust in a non-NPP Vette that even include an RPM operation version that will mimic the OEM version that comes with NPP Vettes.

I personally have their D.A.S.H. version that uses the DIC reset button to change modes (as well as a Fob that I never use).

Yes, you can add NPP to your '07. The pipes are same size too. The size difference IS on the BiModal (which is descriptor for Z06)....NPP kits can be bought and not a big issue to do.

NPP=2.5in
BiMode=3in
