Default Outside temp

The outside temp displays 31 C (87.8F), but it is actually 26 C (78.8 F). The owner manual indicates there is a sensor located behind the front bumper. I recently put on a new CF splitter and may have screwed up something. Where is the outside temp sensor behind the front bumper? What does it look like?

Owners manual also says it takes approx. 10 minutes of driving before an accurate reading. I find the temp. gage in my Jeep grand Cherokee is more accurate than the Vette anyway.

I've never found the Vette OAT readings to be very accurate....

It is on the passenger side.

You can force a reading:
Outside Air Temp
Condition
Display

At start up with the engine OFF more than 3 hours
Displays actual outside temperature

At start up with the engine OFF less than 3 hours
Displays last stored temperature

Vehicle moving above 16 km/h (10 mph) for 5 minutes
Updates temperature display at a slow filtered rate.

Vehicle moving at 51 km/h (32 mph) or greater for 2.5 minutes
Updates temperature display as rapidly as possible.

When the sensor reading is less than the displayed value.
Updates temperature display as rapidly as possible.

When the Front Defrost, Rear Defog and fan up buttons are pressed simultaneously.
Updates temperature display instantly.
