Door opening problem

Any feedback would be great. I have 2009 and the drivers side door will not open from outside or inside. The FOB seems to have a strong battery. All the other components work fine....passenger door, ignition, rear hatch. The drivers door actually tries to engage, the window lowers slightly like the door is going to open but the latch never releases. Any ideas on what it could be? Again thanks for any feedback you can offer!

Use the emergency release to get the door open, and then remove the opening pad and clean the contacts. See if that helps with it opening. Otherwise, I'd say the pad is toast, and you'll need a replacement. not sure how much they are.

You are likely having a solenoid issue with the lock since both the pad and button are involved. You may still be under warranty, have the dealer check it.

I suspect it is the door lock module or the actual latch motor. Need some diagnosing to figure it out. Here are a couple threads that may provide some insight:
