So my '07 vert was put in service in '09. The warranty expired this past April due to time. The car only has 23K miles. After almost a year of research, I have determined that the A/C compressor has a problem that makes an awful grinding sound upon deceleration. Could not figure this out for the longest time...
Anyway, filed a report with Chevy and they called me today. I have a case number and will take the car to a dealer tomorrow for a "diagnostic" that I may or may not have to pay for depending on what they find.
Not sure how this will turn out. Anyone been through something like this?
FWIW - Chevy still reigns supreme in my book. Several months out of warranty, they fixed the issue on my '07 Vert. Chevy has just guaranteed a future buyer of a C7 white Vert.
Must also give proper recognition to John Hiester Chevrolet LLC, North Main Street, Fuquay-Varina, NC. Kept my car in the garage all day and night. Excellent service.
