Drove from Denver to Grand Lake last weekend over Berthod Pass (over 11,000 ft) to a vette club get together. Filled up before and after and got 31.3mpg going 270 miles. incredible.
How do explain that the wide body/tires on a 505 HP Z06 gets better gas mileage then your 400 HP base Z51 or your 436 HP GS?
Maybe my DIC is off? Also I haven't tried a long freeway run since I had a couple hundred miles on the car. Maybe with 3500 miles it'll be better. (I hope).
On my daily commute I got high 18s on the 2005 and only get low 17s on the GS. The commute is 10 miles all on back roads with 15 stop lights and signs.
