Default Oil Use
I have a 2005 6sp manual that I autocross both low & high speed. My wife drives it well at the events. So if there are 10 events each of us has 2 runs per event for a total of 40 runs on the car for the weekend. After a weekend like this I notice the oil level is done about 1/2 quart of oil pretty consistently.

Is this "normal"?

Probably but if you read the manual you will find your supposed to add a quart on race day.
