Assuming one could access the hardware from a wreck does it make sense to try to convert a 2010 Grand Sport to a nav car.
I am not sure the factory system is all that great in any event........
Any advice?
I wouldn't.
I would have a Pioneer system put in. Do a search on here. Lots of info, also good installers. Better system all around.
Also take a look at Kenwood systems.

You are going to get multiple answers.
There are some who will say - buy a Garmin - the OEM is crap.
There are some who will say buy a Kenwood or Panasonic
There are some who will say buy an OEM.
I have two C6's with Nav. They both work. They are as good as my Garmin, they are as good as the Alpine that was in my CTS and they are better than the BMW unit that I had. They are as good as the ones in my Ex's Lexus's and they are easier to use than the ones in her Mercedes and my SiL's Mercedes. But that is just my opinion - you will get lots that disagree and lots that agree.
The one thing you won't get unless you get an OEM unit is the ability to integrate with your HUD.
