Higher octane for winter storage?
Any benefit filling up with high octane like 105 for winter storage or is it a waste of money? 2012 GS

Maybe some fuel stabilizer depending on how long your winter is. South Florida we don't have that problem only butt hot during summer months!

Use a fuel stabilizer and you will be fine.

Why are we even talking about winter storage?!
Let us enjoy summer, we will have plenty of time to talk about winter storage.

I just fill the tank, wax car, clean the inside, place desiccant bags inside, close windows, connect battery tender and put the cover on until spring.

Because in Chicago if you don't like the weather today? Wait until tomorrow. Just looking ahead

Don't forget a few pairs of socks for the exhaust exits...rodent/bug protection

Nothing is more exhilarating than watching in the rear view mirror as a mouse flys thirty feet across the yard when you first fire that puppy up in the spring.

Actually, I did read somewhere that there is a slight advantage to higher octane for storage, but I can't remember the reasoning or whether it was fact/rumor.
Realistically, I think a tank of Top Tier Premium would be fine, add the Sta-bil if you wish.

If you can fill the car with gas that doesnt contain ethenol AND use stabilizer.
