Well, just got my second replacement windshield after five years since the first replacement. Same issue as before, the windshield picked a fight with a flying freeway rock and lost again. The bottom line is to stay as far away as possible from big rigs that love to kick up everything on the road. The latest windshield had been dinged a couple of times and one ding had been repaired with epoxy, but the last hit was too much and left a spder array of cracks. Anyway, I'm back to normal again and will be even more diligent in staying away from the backside of eighteen wheelers with my third windshield.
Were you able to watch and inspect the work as it was done?
In theory, I suppose you could replace the windshield a dozen times. In practice, I suspect there would be problems developing (excess sealant, w/s frame damage, etc) at some point.
Probably not after two, but some time...
Could have been worse. My office colleague was behind an 18-wheeler and caught a flying tire gator in the grill of his Toyota Highlander thrown by the truck. He estimates $500 in damaged parts alone.

Watched the whole operation and had a friendly and competent installer. I don't think there is any limit to number of replacements; these cars are well built and unless you physically damage the frame etc. they can be disassembled and assembled pretty easily.

The state is broke and some freeways are suffering badly from an idiot democrat governor and legislature who like to spend on other things.
Don't worry about the state...they have smart people who understand that raising taxes and imposing more regulations that drive businesses out will fix everything.

You got that right! Gov Brown has another tax increase on the Nov ballot - Go figure. Lots of businesses have left here and gone to your state.
At least in Mass. windshields are free. (no deductible) Feel free to call the Ins Co. tell them you need a new windshield. They say " have it fixed " Even if it is not broken or just messed up from highway driving.

For the policy holders that have glass breakage the majority have no deductible.
