Default GMPP question

I have a GMPP policy on my 2007 which is still in effect.

It has about 39K miles and is always garage kept. This past year I've only put about 1400 miles on it. No accidents. No headlight tint.

Just noticed my drivers side headlight cover is developing small hairline cracks in the bottom left corner.

Does anyone know if this is covered by GMPP? Has anyone had this problem and had it covered by the original warranty or the extended? I will have to wait till Monday to call GMPP because the number I called had a recording to call during normal business hours.

Many people have been denied coverage even under the original 3/36 warranty, but some have been covered under the 3/36 or as a sort of good will gesture by the dealer. I'm not aware of any GMPP coverages.

Our GMPP booklet specifically excludes:
glass
lenses
sealed beams
light bulbs

So officially, you are probably out of luck. But it costs nothing to ask.

As you are probably aware, some people on this Forum will install new lenses for you, not cheap but a lot less than complete new units.

Best of luck to you...

Thanks, Jim.

I couldn't find my booklet. Just have the 800 number in my phone (just in case) is the reason I was able to call.

Seal beams and lenses are not covered under the GMPP so if you do business with a dealer ask them about trying to get it goodwilled thru Chevrolet.
