Default TPMS question

I have a sensor going/gone out....

I have all my tire work done at our local Americas Tire...

Can I just take the wheel/tire off the car in to them for replacement? or do they need to reset the system? I searched for this info but did not find any real answer. Can we reset the system?

What is the process?

Thanks...

The sensor should be covered under warranty. Why not go to your dealer? When I switch to track tires I use a Bartec TPMS resetting tool.

If you are using the same sensors and returning the wheels to the same positions you might not need to reset.

When you install a new sensor you have to reprogram all 4 into the car's computer again. You can't program just one individual sensor. America's Tire should be able do the reset.

Thanks, did more looking around and found out it needs to be reset by them, or buy the tool to do it...

I think I will just take it in and have them take care of it...

Thanks all...

The only year model that does not require tools for reprograming are the 2010's and those 2011's built in 2010,,,,,all you have to do is put the car in learn mode and let air out of the tires, horn will honk and on to next until all four are done,
