Calling bowling green!
Is it possible to call the Vette factory in bowling green to get an update on your build!? Just saw a show on TV about the factory and build process, and it mentioned it's possible to call them and get the build-completion date all the way down to the minute! Anyone tried this?!

I had a number and A contact person at the factory when I ordered my 08 and received an e-mail giving me the exact day and time that it rolled of the line, and then the dealer took 22 picture when it was delivered to the dealership in the enclosed transporter.

It really isn't a good idea to call the factory. While on any given day it might happen that there is someone kind enough to look in to your order status...once, they won't make a habit of it. They aren't staffed to handle these types of requests nor will they be able to handle the volume of requests once it gets out that they helped someone out of kindness.
There are several ways to get at order information and GMConnects and Chevrolet.com/ordertracking are the two that you have access to. Your dealer should be providing you with updates.

Wow that is news to me. I live in Louisville Ky, I see trucks loads of new vettes northbound on I-65, but never an enclosed truck. They have all been open car haulers. Also my Doughtery went to Western Ky Un in Bowling Green, so I have done that exit many times and never seen an enclosed truck.
