I have a 2006 Base Corvette with F55 suspension, Lingenfelter High Flow Intake, and Borla S Exhaust. Not much done. My plan for it is to not look or sound like every Red Corvette there is, but not change its idenity so much that it looks stupid. I am looking at doing front, side skirts in carbon fiber. a ZR1 wing painted body color. 5 spoke chrome wheels or 5 spoke black wheels. I forgot to put i have the automatic paddle shift.
Performance-sway bars(Z51 or Eibach), Z51 brake upgrade. The big performance upgrades will come later but this is just to start. Any add or minus from list will be helpful. thanks.

Reason: missed it
You could add 6000k HID lows/fogs and LED light upgrades to the list. Relatively low cost and easy to do. Contact Neal at CorvetteMods and you won't be disappointed.

A ZR1 style front end splitter and side skirts would certainly elevate your cars looks beyond wide bodies without these features, as would a ZR1 style wing. I would do them all in body color. Neither chrome nor black wheels befit a sports car, but since you already have an automatic transmission their is little point in now being a purist, so go ahead and look like every other Torch Red Corvette.

Yea, I was looking at that too. I would try to do the roof and halo at the same time so they match though.
try something like the 3m carbon vinyl 1080 cf12. you could do the halo and roof for around $100 probably.... i just did my interior door pieces with that. $20 and i did both door lock bezels, both door release bezels, and both window switch bezels, plus the auto shifter... i'm gonna try to tackle the center console soon for another $20.... Now its not glossy lacquer looking like if you got it from some of the venders but i saved over $450 for the pieces i did and another 3-400 if i do the console and it looks awesome (IMO) and has a textured feel to it....

So should I get the carbon fiber painted body color or leave it unpainted carbon fiber that is going to go on the front splitter, side skirts, and rear spoiler. I have also decided I am going to go with Black Grand Sport wheels with my Z51 Brakes that I am going to be getting after the Z51 Sway Bars. I am going to do the halo and roof in CF later after these other mods are complete. I am not trying to do CF overkill just get some ideas from the ZR1, GS, and Z51.

If you're going to paint it, save yourself some money and get them in fiberglass.

I don't know if I would paint it. I am just wondering what would be a better look with my combo, that is all. But I do agree, if I was to paint those pieces I would get fiberglass. I am wondering how painting those pieces in black would look.
