I work at a gm dealer in Washington state. I'm not a Corvette owner. Joined this sight because a stumble across a pair of very nice c6 headlights that were goin to be thrown away at work.
I was wondering how much they sell for and if anyone is looking for some. I'll go through and make sure they work and that nothing is wrong with them. From wat I understand they were the wrong color when shipped with a Corvette and were removed but somehow they ended up not getting returned.
I'm in need of some good cash so I'm hoping they are worth somethin. Thanks for the help!
Oh yeah they surely are worth some $$. You need to advertise them for sale in the C6 parts for sale forum listing their color too. You can also see what others are selling for. I know from Dealer they are about $1000+/pair.
Ummmmmmm...Why does this seem fishy to me. the OP just joined, no contact info, etc etc. If it seems too good to be true......
I would definitely ask for a pic, with his user name on a piece of paper tucked under the headlight, with a date....but that's just me. Someone just recently got scammed from buying an LS7 motor. Luckily he used his MC and got re-imbersed.
I never said they were for sale yer. Just wanted to know wat they are worth. Once I know they function properly I will post pics to prove they are real.

Basically every thing that is replaced under warranty is tagged with a number and put on a shelf. It's saved because if gm thinks we faked a warranty claim they want to see the item. If we dont have it then they don't pay for it. After a few months it doesn't need to be saved anymore.
Warranty can be anything. According to the tech who replaced em they worked fine, were just the wrong color when the car was special ordered.
My shop isn't very organized so they forgot they even had em. So I got em lol.
But your right, does seem almost to good to be true, so I'm going to look up the wire schematic and power em with a fused 12v source and see if they work and also make sure they don't overheat.
I'm the lowest guy on the totem pole at work, thus why I am the one doing the crappy job of sorting all of that stuff. I asked my dispatcher if I could take em. And I asked a tech how much they were. They said new like 1200 so thought I should check on here first.

i'm with you.. I just read his explanation and it just sounds weird....
PS op, if it is legit, you're not going to get much on a site like this because it really does sound very fishy.... Your best bet is craigslist, locally.....

Well ill be happy to provide any pics you guys want showing that they function. Idk if these would sell on Craigslist. I buy parts for my cars on forums all the time through paypal because its super easy to get your money back.
What some folks on this forum would do is say, "I've got these C6 headlights that are just going to get thrown out unless someone can use them. I can't use them but would be happy to send them to the first person who says they can use them if they'll cover the cost of packing and shipping. Please only respond if you can use them for your car, not if you plan to sell them." Just sayin'.

I'm not doubting you have them or they work, my problem is it sounds like they're stolen. If someone is going to buy a POSSIBLY (not definitely) stolen item, my guess is that they would pay half of what a non stolen one would go for....

Lol ok well how would I prove they aren't stolen? I think that's a stupid point tho. Used is used doesn't matter where it came from.
I couldnt haggle a price on a used pair of shoes cus I think they are stolen. I told you how I got em so I guess if I sell em here you can offer based on what I've said.
