Default Window cleaning

Would like to get some recommendations as to what works for cleaning windows. Always look good in the shade but once the sun hits it the haze and streaks show up. Have tried most products/cloths but so far not having much success. Looking to always have super clean windowsboth inside and outside. Thanks for any help

I have had good luck with Stoner's Invisible Glass - but nothing is perfect.

Have you tried using newspaper instead of paper towels? It works really good

Also, when needed, replace your old OEM wiper blades with the rain x latitude wiper blades. They are very nice and streak free.

Have any of you tried the "ultimate cloth"? It's a MIRAFIBER (not microfiber) cloth that uses only water to clean the windows. I bought one to try out from southerncarparts and i've used it only once and it worked amazingly on my vette!!! If you google mirafiber cloth it is sold elsewhere too. It's washable and bleachable also. I'm thinking of buying more for all around the house but i want to use it a little more to make sure, but for $6 for one it is worth a try, like i said it worked wonders for my car so far and the windows were terrible because i hate doing car windows....

PS i have no affiliation to any one and thats not why i posted, i bought something for my car thru southern car parts and upon checkout i saw this and said what the heck, i'll try it....

, I was at Carlisle and bought a bottle of Invisible Glass, I asked the salesperson what would be best to clean the windows as mine too always seemed to be streaky. She said either newspaper (as Lisa said) or the CHEAPEST paper towels you can buy. She said the more expensive paper towels have some kind of additive to make them smell nice and also to last longer, that's what causes them to streak. In this case, cheaper is better!

Spray on the glass cleaner, wipe it off with one towel, then go back with a second dry towel and buff the glass by hand, it'll get rid of the streaks.

Do the whole thing 2x if the window is really dirty.

This is what I do using Invissible Glass. The streaking goes away with the buff.

As you already know there are lots of great glass cleaning products on the market. I've tried most of them but found that a gallon of either soft water or purified water with some ammonia mixed in does the best job of cleaning. Apply with a wet sponge.

The real trick is in wiping it clean and dry and for that I use the same type of drying towel that most car washes use when they hand dry your windows. They typically use a lint-free surgical towel like these: http://www.towelsbydoctorjoe.com/lin...owels-1-1.aspx

Maybe this is overkill but that back window is a bitch to clean, especially on the inside, and this formula does the trick for me. Good luck.

Decorative paper towels leave streaks, the cheap plain jane paper towels work awesome with IG.

I am in the glass business so you can bet u have used every thing under the sun. I have found that any commercially available cleaner will streak from the chemicals left behind.
What I do is first clean the glass with liquid glass, then I use a cloth called Corsa Cloth with just plain water. The trick is to wring out the cloth to just the right amount of wet, too wet and it will leave spots, not wet enough is not good either. I have bought them from flea markets also without the brand name.

I found that it helps to follow up with a microfiber buff. It seems to take care of the remaining streaks.
