Keep moving and if you are forced to stop, turn it off...you should be fine. The fan does almost nothing at speed anyway...especially in cool weather.

has anyone had this problem before and it be an easy fix like a module or something similar. If the highest chance is that the fix will be a new fan motor or something that would involve a bigger and more expensive fix I would rather go to the guy at home since i have confidence in him.

If you have had this problem before please chime in...I realize it is impossible to predict without knowing for sure, just wondered what others might have experienced.

Fortunately we do not go through Atlanta but would it be best to just pull over if the car gets over 230 degrees and let it cool off and allow traffic to clear?

Likely it is the fan motor, control module, or the connector....no way to know which. It is unlikely that the part would be on the shelf anyway, so you are better off just staying on the highway and getting home. Stopping and driving around a town is the time when the temp will go up.

Yes, but be aware of heat sink....temp will continue to rise for a period of time after you stop....

Honestly, I would just get it fixed and be done with it. It's not worth worrying about or risking damage to your great looking ride....
