All it takes is for a neighbor to complain!

I have to enforce this code in my jurisdiction.

Good point, I had not though of that.

We live slightly out in the country and could legally use the 55 gal drum, but it's still an ugly PITA that has to be periodically filled and then used up, protected from theft, etc.

There are solid state inverters that one can connect to the car battery, you run the engine to keep the alternator turning and plug in appliances as needed.

I wonder what size alternator the C6 has? Wouldn't want to get an inverter that overloads the alternator.

Oh yeah! Forgot about that.

In another recent thread, someone said that most cars today, including the C6, have a check valve in the filler line to prevent serious spillage if the cap is left off or the car rolls over.

Someone else posted that he had tried to siphon from his C6 and it couldn't be done.

No personal experience.

Sorry.

No problem, just push it over on it's side then roll it down the driveway
and get the WHOLE neiborhood on fire.
I can't believe the ideas that some folks come up with.
Thanks for bringing this into perspective.

Ahh... an alternative good thinking Jim!

Not sure if this helps, but yes you can sipon gas from a C6, I use a hard small diameter plastic tube, about 3/8ths. slips right in, I only did it cause I was too lazy to go to gas station when I needed fuel to mow the lawn, I wouldnt run the car dry, but never had any issues as a result, just takes a bit with the small hose, good luck
