So I've been trying to find some good products to get for cleaning my '12 vette. I have everything I need for the exterior (soap, wax, polish, clay, etc.). I don't have one single product for cleaning the interior. What do you guys recommend? Need something for the leather, dash (what is the dash made of?) door(and door sill), trim etc. thx for the input
I do an occasional wipe down with a dark microfiber towel dampened with distilled water. Others will chime with several products. I like the OEM look and found that just about anything you apply will shine it up even if only slightly. Most products made for that usually have an SPF factor which may be of interest.
It's a pleather type leather it's not real leather what ever you do don't put anything that will make the dash shiney you will hate life when driving into the sun it reflects off of the windshield and its a wrap. I just use micro fiber rags with water and wipe the dust off if you use a terry cloth it leaves all kinds if lint behind. I plan on redoing the seats so I don't use anything special on the inside but a damp micro fiber
This is a loaded question. You will get plenty of answers and all sorts of different products.
It depends if you want to buy off the shelf products from the local auto parts store or the big box stores (Welly World and sp on), or order some products from the web.
I use nothing but Adams Detail products and he has great interior products from carpet and upholstery cleaner, to leather cleaner. Also he has a great leather conditioner.
Now back to what you have, you mentioned soap, polish, wax and clay bar, but what you did not mention was a few things, such as
1. what will you wash the car with
2. what will you use to dry it
3. what will you use to lube the clay bar
4. what will you use to apply the polish and wax, and finally
5. what will you use to remove the polish and wax
With out the proper tools for washing, polishing and waxing you can do more harm then good if you are not careful.
I realize this is more then you asked for and with your answer you may bet even more questions.
I use 303 inside. and the z on the out side but it is all the same it only
smells different. I don't think you need polish the new turtle wax is good to. I think it all evoperates in a couple of week anyway.
I've used many items, from Adams to Zaino. I prefer Zaino as it shows the most result and the cost is reasonable. I like some of gloss-its products as well, but primarily Zaino.
