Help please
I own a 2007 convertible that I bought new. The power top has always worked perfectly until this week. It will go all the way down but instead of closing the decklid completely just before the chime is supposed to sound the decklid raises slightly and the the chime never sounds. And of course the decklid is not completely closed. It goes up just fine without any problems. Has anyone else ever experienced this. If so can you tell me what I need to look for to fix it.
By the way the top never binds or hits anything. It has never been to the dealer or anyone else for any adjustments. I hope that it is something simple.

Check the micro -switches on the passenger side. Mis-alignment of the switch will cause this.

This is one item I don't recommend trying yourself. It may very well be a simple adjustment but if you do it wrong it could be serious money in broken equipment.

Thanks for the comments . I was afraid it might have to go to the dealer. That is unfortunate. I will just look the switches over to see if I see something obvious. Where exactly are the switches located.
