Default Splash Guard Install

Got my Splash Guards and decided there had to be another way to install them other than removing the rear tires. I went by the instructions as far as taping them in place and marking where the hole go. I had to use a very short grease pencil to mark the holes. Then put a drill bit in my Dremal Tool. Drilled a small pilot hole where I had marked the hole locations. The pilot hole was at an angle due to lack of clearance but does not matter. Then taped the Guards back in place. Then I used a short right angle screw driver (shown in photo) and black screws to install the Guards. Turned out good for me. Took about 10 minutes per side.

looks like it worked out well, did your kit come with fasteners?

Yes, it came with the push in pin type fasteners. But to drill the correct size hole for using them you would have to remove the rear tires.

Good idea, especially if you don't have easy access to a jack.

FWIW, I recently purchased a cordless impact wrench and it makes pulling the wheels off and putting them back a snap.

Thanks for sharing your good idea.
