In the past, I've felt that a screen protector for the nav wasn't worth spending any money. We've had 4 cars with different factory navs, total about 160k miles, never scratched or damaged a screen.
But today, while cleaning out my spare parts shelf, I discovered that I've got an unused screen protector for our C6 nav. Wonder where it came from?
Since it's free, I might put it on. But I'd like to hear if anyone has felt any benefit, or had any problems, from using one.
Or from not using one!
Thanks!

I was hesitant to put one on mine for the same reason you mentioned.
Ended up getting one though
Honestly can't say it's needed and it didn't stop the glare in bright light.
No worse no better than without it, but glad it's there now if for no other reason that it protects the screen.
No problem working the screen when touching it or anything like that.
IMO, you have one, why not put it on and if you don't like it, take if off
I installed the "Zagg" screen protector on the UCONNECT factory nav unit in my Jeep. There are pros and cons. The Zagg screen protector made the screen a little too reflective so that when the sun is low in the sky and on the screen, it can be difficult to read due to the reflection, but this is about a 1% of the time problem. Also some of the lubricant solution ran down to the bottom of the screen during the install and the soft buttons did not function for about 30 minutes after the install. I was freaking out, but once the fluid dried, everything is back to normal.
I am glad I did the install, because it does protect the screen. My wife has long finger nails and so the protector has kept the screen pristine.

I can't tell from the link, but there is a company called "Corvette Mods" with a really bad reputation here. It is also claimed that they use some other names for their business.
But again, I can't tell if the link is to that company.
What a great thread. ;-) I looking for some plastic covers for my seats, start button, steering wheel, and turn signal stalks to avoid wear. Where can I find those?
I really don't mind living with a car covered in crappy plastic add-ons as I want the next guy who drives my garage queen to really get a nice car.
XPEL makes a full screen protection piece that looks really nice. Horsepowerobsessed.com sells it. $39 bucks….watch the video it covers everything, not just the touch screen.
