Default 2008 features and specs

New to the forum. From the reseach I have done it would appear that I can buy a low mile 2008 base model with lt3 pkg coupe with manual transmission for around 31k. However from comments on this site it would appear that the content of the lt3 trim level has changed over time. Can anyone direct to a link that could give specific information by model year.
I am not interested in racing or modding the car just taking entrance and exit ramps at high speed. I am 59 and have wanted vette since I was 16. I just sold my Audi to my daughter and am driving her old beater from college till I find the right car.
i did about an hours worth of search on this site and never found exactly what I was looking for.

This is for the 2012 and a little of the 2013 year options. I have a 2008 with the LT3 interior package and its exactly the same as what they describe for the 2012. Look around on the forums here for one for sale. Most of the owners here take good care of their cars. You shouldn't have a problem finding one for that price. Hope you find one fast. Not cuz they're running out, but because they're fun as hell to drive! Don't wait another day.

3LT is not a base Model. 1LT is. The 3LT has a huge package of extras that are not there on a 1LT. If you can find an '08 3LT low mileage for $31,000 you should buy it. The 3LT in 2008 was a $4,505.00 option.

Bose A/M F/M 6disc CD,
Bose speakers
HUD
Power telescoping wheel
Heated seats
Memory package
Home remote
Side irbags
Sport seats
Power pass. seat
Luggage shade & parcel net
radio controls on steering wheel

If it has NAV add another $1,750.00
Z51 adds $1,695.00
Dual roof adds $1,400.00
NPP adds $1,195.00
Paint color adds up to $750.00.

Base car with no options was MSRP of $45,170.00.
Mine was MSRP of $58,540.00

Thats $13,370 more for an optioned 3LT compared to a 1LT base. Believe me, a 1LT and an optioned 3LT won't sell for the same price.

Yea,it's 3LT not lt3. Not base. How many miles are on it??Price doesn't sound bad as long as miles are low. It's other packages that have changed over the years, not the 3LT.

Recently purchased the 2008, 3 lt, z51, npp. Also included the mild2 wild, fresh mats, new tires, some leather upgrades, and a few other items. Its configured just as stated above. I thought I wanted the nav but I realized I rarely turn on then GPS I have in my Jaguar. I ended up a little higher than your 31k price. 22k miles.

Mine was pretty close to this one, except it has the navigation. Mine was higher than 31K and had 18K miles.

Default 2008 Order Guide

Here's a link to the 2008 Order Guide:

http://temp.corvetteforum.net/c5/ken...rder_guide.pdf

You can see starting on about page 8 what is included in the 3LT equipment group.

Also, look in the glove compartment of the car to see a sticker that has all the RPO codes for all the optional stuff on the car included in the 3LT trim level, plus any additional items that might have been ordered or items that were upgraded.

The Order Guide will describe all of those RPO codes so you'll know exactly what's on the car.

Good luck on finding a nice Vette - you'll LOVE it!!

Bob

You can also look at CAC.com or Corvette Action Center....they keep a complete list by model year/options in each (i.e. 1LT, 2LT, 3LT ect.)

Was that a whole hour?

There's tons of solid info on this forum. But sometimes it's hard to find.

Maybe you'll find the info in this list of C6 year to year changes: http://forums.corvetteforum.com/1574306274-post11.html

But I don't think anything changed on the 3LT option package for 2008.

Lots of other sources of info for Corvettes, like these:

Edmunds.com: http://www.edmunds.com/chevrolet/cor...008/?sub=coupe

Corvette Action Center: http://www.corvetteactioncenter.com/

Enjoy your search!
