Thanks Dungli for the coments. I'm leaning toward the Invos and think that will be my next tire. By the way I spent a great amount of time up your way in Yorktown when I was in the Coast Guard.
i hated them on my z06...the sidewalls were too tall and soft so you get a constant fishtail effect out of them...yeah they were a little quieter than Good Year. i had them put on while i was on a roadtrip and when i got home i took them off. i choose them because they came highly recommend by the forum. maybe i am too particular
Put them on the GS two days ago. So far I love them. Smoother, quieter, cheaper. I will second the opinion about not taking them to the track, but for street/aggressive street use they are more than fine. I've even had them on the highway in the rain already and felt MUCH safer than I ever did with the goodyears.
good tire for every day dry or wet, but no much performance
i would suggest the nitto NT 05's , if you like to do a lot of spirited driving...the hp of the GS is not the same as a Z, so the invo's should be ok..but for better traction..the NT 05's are best.
a pic of my Z06 i used to own with nt 05's on it...those are 354's on the rear

I put a set on my Z06, didn't like them at all. At first they had great traction, but then, any heavy throttle, the rear end wanted to switch lanes. Not sure what I'll replace the GY's with on my Coupe, when the time comes.
I have 345/30's on the rears. They replaced 345 Michelin PS ZP's (run-flats).
They are lighter and quieter and the non-run flat sidewall is more compliant.
Much less expensive too, but you need some thing/some way to deal with a flat.
I still have the Michelin's on the front so the handling is a bit off, but the rear end is not getting loose or squirmy. They stick a little better in the cold too.
By all means get an alignment done when you get the new tires.
I have them on my C6... they are good for daily use, and in the rain. I have driven at 65-70 mph on the highway in the rain and they held the road well. The times when i have really gotten ont he throttle, they performed extremely well IMO. This was on a hot summer day..so keep that in mind. My car is stored in the garage for the winter, so i cant comment on how they perform in the cold. (Plus I live in GA)
Anyone compared the Nitto invos to Michelin pilot super sports?
not comparable...way to much sidewall flex. every corner felt as if there was a delay in your actions. but great if you dont drive aggressively I guess.

The invos don't seem to have a good reputation as a track tire. My experience is Michelin SS are decent street tire to track with.
