Floor mats?

Is it just me? I bought mats from GM a year ago and the drivers side spacing for the clips (distance between them) was off. I brought them back and then ordered form MA. Seem to be the same so I kept them. Well eventually the feed thru popped out.
Has any one else encountered this?

There have been at least two types of factory floor mat anchors- the snap on pegs of our 2006 and the hooks of our 2009. Not sure when they changed, but OP may have gotten the wrong style?
