When I first start up my 2012 C-6, it takes about 8-10 seconds for the Nav screen to light up and for me to be able to turn the stereo on or off. Additionally, the radio will sometimes fire up on its own, even though I know I turned it off the night before. The system has been doing this from the first day I have owned the car. Has anyone elese run into this? Is this normal behavior?

Te 8-10 second startup is pretty common. With respect to the system coming on, do you ever change fobs (use one vs. the other)? Is your car equipped with the memory option?
I rarely use the other FOB and the car does not have the memory option. The radio coming on by itself is not a huge problem. I probably won't even bring ito to the dealer's attention, because I am sure when they try it, they won't be able to "duplicate" my problem...
I usually back out of the garage and down the driveway before turning the radio on. If you try any sooner there is no response. Just assumed it takes a few seconds to "fire up". I also return to FM, from the XM button (PAL 2-ipod), and turn the radio off before exiting. The XM button hasn't "disappeared" again since doing that. Just another quirk?? No idea on the auto on problem.
On my 11 GS 3LT I've also noticed that there is a delay after start up before you can turn the radio on and I also have had the radio come on by itself shortly after start up even though I am sure I turned it of prior to shut down. Doesn't happen very often though so I haven't figured out the series of events that causes it.
