gear problems??
I have a friend who has a 2006 coupe and drove the vette for awhile today and had no problems. He went home and parked the vette in the driveway and later in the day went out to run a errand , started the vette and put it in gear (reverse) and the vette wouldn't move. He could put it in other gears ( drive ) and it still wouldn't move. Anyone have any idea's as to what is the problem??

What I mean is that you can shift the shifter into all the gear settings but the car won't move. Possibly the shifter cable is broke and won't put the transmisson into shift mode if there is a shifter cable.

That would be my guess, too, if the lever is moving but it is not selecting a gear.
