I bought a 1LT 2013 Corvette coupe as a blank slate so to speak. The color is NRBM with solid black interior and the gray painted 5-spoke wheels. Here is a short list of what I plan to do.
1. Window tint.
2. Cat back exhaust (just for sound, I know they don’t make more power)
3. Wheels/tires.
4. Short throw shifter.
5. Some interior bits. (unsure what to do or get though)
6. Possibly some suspension. Maybe shocks and or sway bars.
For the exhaust, I am really wanting the Corsa Extreme. Wheels and tires I am at a loss though. I am usually more inclined to dark wheels but I am thinking that with the dark color of the car and windows that chrome would look better. The wheels I am leaning towards are the ZR-1 style spider wheels. For the interior I am not sure. I like the all black but am thinking of adding some red to off-set it a little bit.
I plan to update the radio and speakers but want to do that all in one shot and will most likely be next year.
Any other insight would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Bassani exhaust because it sounds so good on a LS3
1. Up to you if you are drug dealer or otherwise hiding.
2. Sunset Orange Creations NPP Kit let's you turn the noise off or on.
3. House of Wheels Spyder reproductions (or any style that you like) in C6 sizes and use your existing tires.
4. MGW.
5. Maybe some Lloyd floor mats, otherwise a waste of money - GM already addressed most of the common items that need replacing on older cars. If you like the GM red interior and want to use GM parts, the seat covers should be reasonable because you already have the 2013 seats. You can pick up the red lower dash parts at a price that you can afford. The red door panels are pricey. GM Parts House or Parts Taxi sells the GM parts as cheap as you can get new.
6. Waste of money - its already decent.

I HATE the sound of NPP. Sounds like a gurgling boat.
The car is great, I just want it to look, sound and handle a little better. I will not be using the stock run flat tires. I like to drag race and they suck for that.

Then you're done
didnt know you were running bassani exhaust! have it on mine w/kooks lt's and no cats.....absolutely sick sounding exhaust....
I will have to check that exhaust out. I have heard the Corsa and REALLY like it. But I dont fall in love with just one stripper. I try to spread my money around and sample them all.
I've sampled most of them....I'd recommend taking all those in consideration out for a drive. Some have interior noise that is just unbearable to me...
IMO...Corsa sports are about the only thing out there that won't drone and sound loud..but you got to get the rpms up there to hear it.
My only advice is to remember that if it is cold in the garage when you take things apart, it is much easier to crack anything made of plastic...including trim clips.

Unless getting on it I never see more than about 2k rpms for more than a few seconds. Quite a lazy driver and in town I let the torque do its thing.
You are right, I have been in some with BORLA exhausts and its just loud, not a very good sound. Both the CORSA's I have been in were wonderful.

Good idea, I will remember that. Thankfully I have a heated garage.
As far as the wheel selection goes, if you like the dark wheels, but are a little concerned that it will make the overall package to dark, look at the black chrome style. Not a black wheel, but not that bright chrome either. I have the Z06 style on my Moterey Red Metallic coupe.

First off - I think the most important mod that has a dual purpose (performance n cosmetic) you should address are the wheels. They can totally change and wake up the car. As you know Im a huge fan of black wheels. At any rate, Id keep em dark. Lowering def helps with the "aggressive" look. I think a set a cup wheels would look great on your ride knowing that you don't wanna spend 360/HRE type $ (guess who Im referring to).
*window tint-w/o a doubt
*exhaust-many quality ones out there, give as many as you can a listen, and I agree-a simple cat back=sound only. 8-12hp ok....
*Im not a huge fan of short shifters, but if a must...MGW
*interior-hmmm, we'll talk on it later
*suspension-phadt all da way/ TPS usually does good on their setups
*radio system-way to much out of the loop to give an educated opinion
And Dan, the most important advice I can give you that I sincerely hope you take is-PLEASE DONT LISTEN TO ANYTHING IN POSTS 4,8 and 10
Im just torn right now. I would like to take the car to a road course (Watkins Glenn is an hour away) but most of the time it will be just on the street and at the drag track.
