Default Tire Selection - Help

Looking for advise on replacement tires - would like a run flat that is quiet and good riding, not big into performance.

Seems like hottuna & Charter Capt. go together....anyway, you cannot go wrong with Michelin AS/pilot RF's. Tire Rack has the lowest price. Print it out and bring it to your local tire store for a price match. Thats what I did. Best RF I ever put on any of my Vettes. Good Luck

I did the same. Total ~$1500 out-the-door for stock size Michelin Pilot Sport A/S plus ZP (all-season runflats).

If your C6 is old enough & you plan to keep it awhile, consider new pressure sensors -- they're only good for 8-10 years -- and easy to replace while the tires are off.

At least, get rebuild kit for the tire stem. Cheap insurance.

Didn't say if you have a GS or not. A/S is not available for the GS. It sounds like the A/S ZP is your tire though if you have a "narrow" body" C6. However I would wait for the new Michelin A/S tire if you can. I don't know if it will be available in C6 sizes or if it is a run flat or not though.

Does Firestone now make an A/S for the C6?

The regular Firestone RF has a lot of happy customers, we had them on our C5 (summer only) and were happy.

Now, we have the Michelin PS2 runflats for summer and Michelin A/S runflats for winter, each is outstanding for its particular job. Considering the lower purchase price and longer life, the A/S have a much lower cost per mile if you don't need max grip in summer.

OP- where are you? Climate makes a big difference unless you are willing to have two sets of tires/wheels/sensors, and switch back & forth. Like me...
