Taylor 34. It is not what they want it is what you want. I can't wait to see your 72 project Vette. I just bet it will be a head turner. More power to yah.

I have always liked and wanted Corvettes since i was a teenager. Now I am a 29 year old who makes a decent income and I can finally afford one. But everyone i come across seems to think that this is the kind of vehicle for old men who like to wear gold chains with hairy chests and tattoos. Kind of like Jersey Shore but now we have senior citizens on Viagra driving these beautiful machines. Are there any young professionals out there who drive or own these things? Also would i stick out like a sore thumb if i had a yellow c6 Z06???
My daugther married a Foreign car lover had to have a honda civic, next a bigger honda next an audi and honda pilot oh a saturn because it had a honda motor in it. Sold her corvette to buy a crotch rocket. He's a follow the crowd to whatever the newest latest is. In other words he dances to everybody elses tune.Oh gag me with a spoon

That may be true. Last spring I thought I was ready and I was personally (bought an 08), but didn't realize that a mid 30's guy driving a vet was going to irk off so many people over the age of 50 (that's the only people that ripped on me, and only people I knew, no strangers). Just made me uncomfortable unfortunately, just ruined the experience for me as it made me self conscious to drive it. Sold it after three months. Wasn't sure how long it would be before I'd drive a vet again....
...well I found out, it's now. Bought a 72 c3. It's perfect for me because there's nothing anyone can say about it...anyone that gives you crap for a classic car is a moron. And I can have fun restoring it as well, so it should work out overall. Just glad to be a vette owner again, I did it right the 2nd time (hopefully).

I've loved Corvettes since I was a toddler and bought mine when I was 25. Probably one of the most enjoyable purchases I've ever bought. I recently added about 125 hp to my car and every time I drop it into 4th gear to pass someone, its quite the adrenaline rush. If its not just a whim and you've loved vettes for years then do it, you wont regret it.

Im 22 and i just bought an 06 z51 blk/blk coupe about 2 months ago. I live in baton rouge louisiana and mostly old folks drive vettes around here...i love the attention i get. When i pull into a parking lot or even get in my car leaving work people always do a double take because they expect a 40-50 year old man going through a mid-life crisis to step out. But intead they get me lol. Poeple stare me down hard haha. They prolly think "oh some rich kid got to take out daddys corvette today" or "mommy and daddy must have bought him that" but in fact it was all me with a lot of dedication and hard work! I LOVE the attention anyway. Who cares what people think. I bought this vette for ME because its what I love. No other reason than that.....ENJOY IT
