I'm sure someone here will know what the deal is. When you open the door the window comes down a bit as it should. But some times when you close the door, it's a few minutes before the window will go back to completly closed. And a couple times when it did go back in place it went up and down several times (like it's possessed) before closing. I do know that I need to replace the door handle on this side. The contacts are about wore out. Do those have anything to do with each other? Thanks!
The first thing to do is re-index your windows. It takes 10 seconds per window. Your manual tells how to do it. If that doesn't work it's time to start trouble shooting. Good luck.

Try re-indexing the windows.
The easiest way is to get in the car, close the door, go to accessory on the start switch. Lower the window all the way, raise the window all the way, release the switch, engage the switch in the up position and count to 5. Release the switch. Repeat for passenger side.
If they still act "possessed" you may have a battery going dead.
In case you don't know how to re-index your windows.
1. Close the door.
2. Raise the window by pulling up the switch.
3. Hold the up switch for three seconds after the
window is closed. Release the switch.
4. Hold the up switch again for three seconds and
release.

No worries. The more info the better. I recently had a friend of mine in PA go through this procedure as I talked him through it over the phone. He is new to the C6 and had disconnected his battery for maintenance and then wondered why the windows would not index.
It's the keypad (door handle) that causes this. $20 for a new one.
If a problem is due to the outside switch the OP can swap the driver and passenger switch pads and the problem should move from one door to the other. A weak battery can cause door issues as well but it usually doesn't result in the window operating own its own.
More than likely it isn't the switch pad. The switch pad provides a ground for the door module which controls the door latch in the B pillar and the window motor. If the door is closed and the window goes down on its own while the door remains latched it is more than likely the switch isn't involved.
When this first happened on my Z the window wouldn't close all the way and I tried reindexing but as the symptoms became worse the window would start cycling up and down on its own and the door wouldn't open using either the inside or outside door buttons. When I took it into the dealer it sat in the service bay with the window going up and down while the repair order was being written up. The only way to open the driver's side door was to use the emergency pulls. A new door module resolved all of the issues.

Your last paragraph is exactly whats going on. Thanks. Who sells door modules on this site? Thanks.
