Default Carpet hook moved

GM moved the carpet hook on the passanger side over an inch to the left on the 2013s. I had to make a new hole in my old rubber mats for it to fit right. If you order mats for your new car you will have to measure where your hook is.

It wasn't a vender, it was me. A vender here made the comment that a certain floor mat maker told him that there was a defect in my carpet hook (2013 GS coupe) and that I needed to relocate it to make his mats fit my car. I returned the mats for a full refund.

Yes, the hook is in a different location on the 2013's and my thread that I posted about it got shot down by a mod because the vender felt it was going to hurt his sells. I did NOT bash or mention any venders names. I posted pics of what the issue was.

Here is a pic that I posted and the yellow dot shows the location of the actual hook (under the mat) in my 2013 GS.

At least one vendor is aware of this, as they sent to me the two pics showing the reference marks for me to verify prior to placing the order. The same vendor put the two styles up here a few weeks ago I think it was.

Here is my thread concerning the hook placement.

http://forums.corvetteforum.com/tran...-dont-fit.html

I was not bashing anyone, just alerting others about this issue.

After reading this thread, I just went out to look at my mats that I just recieved a few weeks ago from a forum sponsor, and it looks like I have the same offset hook. I didnt even notice it when I put the mats in the car last week, as the passanger seat was way forward.

I slid the seat back today to get a better look and take the pic. My Vette is a 2013 as well, built in Nov of 2012. Weieieird...

.......Yep; same issue! The manufacturer had the gall to say it was an isolated defect in my car........just to make a sale.......
