And I read over in the C7 forum that GM is having the reveal in an old abandoned warehouse in Detroit instead of some fancy convention center.

What the hell was GM thinking?

I think they have completely lost there mind!

BTW ... nice "crack-house" ... I mean "building" next door !

Well i doubt if this is true, that the original warehouse is still around, but the first Corvette line was in a GM delivery warehouse. They did not build the 53 model year on a conventional assembly line.
So maybe that is the reason for using an old warehouse. Bring it back to its roots.

I'm still shaking my head in amasement that GM would pick someplace like this neighborhood for the public to get it's first glimps of this car.

GM sure didn't pick a run-down old building for the prevew of the original 53 Corvette ... or any other model of the Corvette that I aware of.

oh well ....
