I just recently bought a 08 Corvette in the US, I live in Canada but won't bring the car back over the border until mid April, should I get storage insurance and where would I purchase it and also does anyone know the approx. costs for storage per month, the car is in Wisconsin. Thanks

I agree. Call you Insurance Agent. I have a 2006 Convertible that is stored from November to April every year. I call my agent when I'm ready to stor it and they change my policy from full coverage to storage.
I think my storage insurance costs around $60 a year. When I'm ready to bring the car out again in the spring, I call again and put full coverage back on.
I agree with both of you, however our local Autopac in Canada won't let me take out insurance because I haven't brought the car into Canada and officially registered it yet. I usually just take my car off of full insurance and go lay-up in the winter, however my car was just purchased and still in the US, I thought someone would know if I can deal with a US insurance company with this one. Thanks

All those reasons are why I offered no advice. Your situation is complicated so talk to an agent you trust and not information on the forum from people who may or may not know what they're talking about.

I believe most insurance companies require full coverage if a lein is on your car I don't think you have an option to take coverage on and off, not asking for your financial information, just something to ask your agent or a person with more knowledge than us.
