The phone app program is called TORQUE. You also use this program with an item plugged into your diagnostic port that transmitts the info via bluetooth to your iPhone, it's called a ELM 327 OBDII Adapter.
I ask because my Son was just visiting for a few days and has this set-up on his Honda Prelude. Yeah, a modded fwd'er with a fart pipe , but he's done the mods on it and is proud as heck of it and his work. It's what he can afford and likes.
This progran transmits lots of info to his iPhone he velcro's to his dash. Just wondering if anyone uses the adapter and the program on their iPhone?
I just got one of those last month, but have not really had much opportunity to experiment. I did get it working with free version on my droid, and showed real time info on my truck.
Google for the "Super Mini ELM327 V1.5". Found mine on ebay for $17 shipped and it is at least half as short as the one you pictured. You can get some other apps for it too and that disc supplied had some windows software.
Here's a link to info about the KIWI for iPhone devices (they also have Android compatible units). On that site you can scroll down and see some of the apps it's compatible with:
I do have a GoPoint I got as a gift that works with IOS devices via bluetooth pairing and a free IOS app. It reads very, very few codes though. I think it is marketed mainly as a "check engine" code device, and the app automatically checks for recalls, monitors mileage, and the like. Waste of $100 in my opinion. However, it will work with all your cars so it might come in handy I suppose.
It monitors some operating data that you already have available in the DIC, so it's maybe more handy for cars other than the Corvette.
