Back from my 1st car show
Hello CF members,
It was a grand time. I met some cool people and established new friendships. I got to see a variety of cars/bikes and trucks. Still humbled to be invited to show my ride.
I took the advise from most of you that I learned in my thread car show tips and tricks. Clean, clean, clean...and I did. We unexpectedly received a plaque for Outstanding in Class. It topped off a great expireince. One of the ISCA judges said it was the most detailed drivers he has seen. (A feel good moment).
This is a 2007 coupe. Monterey Red. It has BrandyWine & Pearled Candy Ghost Flames. Hidden in the flames are Ghost $$$ signs. The door handles and gm splash guards are body color. All exterior lenses and emblems are lightly smoked. Tinted windows. We installed a Katech splitter, C7Carbon side skirts and rear lower valance, plus an APR Rear spoiler. All are carbon fiber, all have been cleared in BrandyWine candy.
Her name is "Burning Ca$h" one more time Thank You!

Thanks for the compliments. I love to clean my ride. We get to drive it about 5000miles per "season".(after the last snow and 2nd or 3rd good rain in the spring till the first snow in late fall). Here are some before pics.

Hi,
It's an ancient Chineese secret
I kid, I kid...
First you have to be able to see. So I purchased a couple of dual halogen lights with stands. They show all imperfections. I am fortunate to have an insane friend who also likes C l e a n R i d e s. Using a DA polisher/appropriate foam pads, high quality microfiber towels, 1st meguires 105 compound & medium pressure to get major scratches, followed with 205 medium then light pressure. Finally to help reduce static electricity and give a wet look I use 303 Speed detailer. Take your time. Work small sections at a time. You can use an IPA wipe between polishing steps. Keep It Simple S_______(didn't feel right saying sweetheart)

Very nice ride and congrats on your trophy. I can relate being a car show junkie myself.
You did a great job on the exterior, now just some engine bling and you'll be bringing home the bacon.

I appreciate your kind words. I've seen so many cool rides here on the CF. Thanks to the many who've shared pictures and opinions. It helped in the decision making to create our own individual style and look. Here is an acknowledgement, thank you sheet used in our display.
