I have been noticing that many new cars are advertizing that they have Pandora radio. Considering what we are paying to have commercial free radio, Sirus this could be a good thing. Does anyone out in Corvette land know if it is available as an add-on.
I'm considering using Pandora from my phone too but will I need unlimited data plan? I have a 2G limit now and dont use it much. How much does streaming Pandora use for maybe 8 hours of listening per month?

When I checked last year (don't think it changed) Pandora had 64kbps and 128kbps options on cellular connections. I believe you can go higher on paid accounts.
At 64kbps it will use up to 28.8 MB per hour. Double that when using the 128 connection. So your 8 hours of listening would use about 230 MB of listening on the standard connection or 460MB on the high. Should be fine if you are not using much of your current 2gb plan.
I have the Kenwood DNX9990 and my wife has a 9980. Both have Pandora feature. The problem is that it worked perfectly with the old Iphone 4, and older Andriod phones with the Kenwood Crapple cable.
When we upgraded to Iphone 5 and newer Android, it would no longer work properly. Kenwood is notorious for not providing software upgrades for older units. So to get it to work, I use my old Iphone 4 in airplane mode with WIFI only active and WIFI tether it to the new phones to play. I also wiped the old Iphone 4 and loaded all the music it can hold and I find that I use that more than Pandora. My wife has a Pandora account so she does not get any annoying commercials but a free account does get some commercials.
Both the newer Iphone 5 and newer Androids will work with both Kenwoods using Bluetooth mode instead of the Pandora app but you loose the album art, like and dislike functions, and you loose the ability to switch stations through the head unit - which sucks.
Personally, I find that when you listen to Pandora for hours, I seem to get a lot of repetition. So having 700+ songs on the Iphone and playing them randomly seems more satisfying to me personally.

I stream Pandora direct from my phone. I have Pandora One which is $35.00 per year. It cuts out advertisements, allows more song skipping and increases the allowable bit-rate for higher quality audio.
Be careful though, if you don't have an unlimited plan on your phone, you can very quickly eat up your data cap.

How can you stream it over bluetooth in the Vettes? I do it everyday in my F150 but I can't seem to figure it out in the Vette.

I have a 1LT, so I'm not bluetooth equipped. I just use the Aux input and stream on the phone itself.
With that said, even if I did have bluetooth, I'd probably go about it this way anyway. Of the vehicles I've had with bluetooth, anything streamed over them generally sounded like **** to me.

I have a 2 gig plan and have never come close to my limit, use Pandora all the time
