I revently purchased a 2009 C-6, LT3 with the exhaust option...it's standard shift. Need some advice on how to best take this one out from a dead stop. Should I put the system in Competitive Drive Mode? How many RPMs? When shifting from first to second should I power shift? Appreciate and guidance you experienced C-6 folks could share.

Competitive mode turns off traction control, so if you're autocrossing or something and care comfortable with your ability to drive your way out of spins, by all means go for it. If you just want to accelerate in a straight line, or if you are inexperienced with the car, leave traction control on.

Find a deserted stretch of road or a big parking lot and experiment without hurting yourself.
