Default I hate the clicking

I took my 13 grand sport in to the dealer today because the passenger sensor has never worked. The passenger airbag always stayed off. Now I have a clicking sound coming from the brake relay behind the passenger footwell. Noticed it right away when I was leaving the dealer. I went back and he said it was probably normal. I never heard a sound until today.

If you get desperate here's one member's solution that seems fairly easy:

http://forums.corvetteforum.com/c6-t...ght-relay.html

And some follow-up to that with more specifics:

All my C6 vettes make the clicking noise however when I'm driving and listening to the radio I have never heard the clicking. Crank it up!

I can't believe they never came up with a solution for the clicking. A 2.00$ part on a 66000.00$ car that clicks ever time you push the brakes and let off the brakes. It sounds like shi*.

There is a solution. It's a part replacement for the relay. Just ask your dealer. I had it done on my 2012 GS.

Thanks...that's news to me. I thought I was pretty much up on stuff like that but I guess not. My last two C6's including current Z did/do it. Nice to know.

Really. Does it hold the memory but just only sometimes will move the seat? I'm sure you're meeting all the requirements like having your parking brake on when hitting one of the memory buttons?

Actually thats not true. Your dealer probably had an older relay in stock and thats what you have now. I understand they changed suppliers sometime in 2009 so all the relays in the pipeline now will exhibit the same problem. If its the same relay in the C7 count on more of the same.

I've now read around 20 threads regarding the clicking and none end with a solution. 1 relay works for one owner and not another. I now have 4 different brake relay part numbers and if I ordered two of each I bet at least one would be quieter than mine is now. Mine clicks when I depress and when I release the brake . Is that the norm.

Yes thats normal. Even the 2013 models do it. I have heard if you stick a piece of foam rubber in there it will be a little quieter.

I just tried 6 different 13500114 relays and they all click the same. My 13 has 6 of these in the under hood fuse box as well as the one in the footwell. I guess I won't be ordering any of these to try.
