While the interior was nice, from what I've gathered this is 1LT.

No stitching on seats, black all around.

FYI- I bought an '08 4LT with ALL the options you could get (NAV; HUD; etc..) with 12000 miles for $34,000 EXCEPT I bought it 3 years AGO with a warranty! Car originally listed for $68,000!
I previously had an '05 and yes, there is a difference in the steering and easier shifting, I still loved it! You should absolutely be paying no more than the mid 20's for the '07.
Keep searching

Anyone have experience going from a 2007 (LS2) to 2008 (LS3)?

There is a nice local '07 with 10k miles for ~$33k in my area, a truly beautiful car in like-new shape.

I'm curious if the upgrade to LS3 is *highly noticeable* to the point that I would regret not just waiting (or driving further) for a 2008.

Higher horsepower would be nice, but ... apart from someone who tracks or drags, would I even notice?

How about the steering / shifting? I'm not overly picky, but obviously like everyone want to get the most for my hard earned $$.

Any other thoughts about purchasing an '07 base at this time? (vs waiting, looking for an '08 etc)

Thanks for any insight!

Here is the car: http://inventory.schoeppmotors.com/u...40650#tippytop

They said I could 'negotiate' it down to $33ish

Yes like the others said $33k is probably a bit much .. i too have a 07 and mine had 25k miles when I bought mine a month ago .... I paid a little over $29k... after reconditioning costs (replaced a leaf spring,safety/smog/oil change) it pushed 30k.

The one that I bought luckily had just about all the options that were available and was in fantastic condition.

I would say make a little better deal dollar wise .. print out this thread and test the waters .. show it to the dealer .... hard to tell what they paid for the car and with sunny weather coming im sure they wont lose money to sell a car with 10k in miles on it ... all just boils down to what they paid for it ...

Good luck!

Thanks!

I was thinking the same thing. Show this thread and make another (lower) offer.

They'll sell it regardless; it's perfect, and they admitted they had it way overpriced. So we'll see.

33k isn't too bad. Maybe a bit high with what looks like zero options. As far as the 30hp, it's negligible and can be made up and then some using only easy bolt on mods. Have not experienced the new transmission and steering, but it may be worth looking into if it's as nice as people say.

I love my '07, and it came with some surprises once I tracked down the build sheet. I say if it's exactly what you want, take the plunge, but don't settle for it if it's not what you want just to get into a Corvette. You'll kick yourself later if you settle.

Shop around for the LS3 and the 07 is very pricey indeed. You should be able to find a 08 for $30,000 with low miles too.

OK,so a 1LT 07 for 33 grand is a little to much money. That's other thing I forgot about the 08's.The center stack is now a hydrocrabon type thing.Much nicer then the 05-07 stack. I bought an 08 with 8000 for around the same money last March. With a glass top..
