Crystal Red tintcoat question
I have my exterior color choices for my soon to be purchased Grand Sport narrowed down to Night Race Blue or Crystal Red.
Seems everytime I research the Crystal Red it comes up on my monitor as a different shade. Unfortunately the local dealer does not have any vehicles in this color so can't see one in person.
Question is, does this color ever look orange in different light? Or is like a metallic burgandy or wineberry?

I've got a monterey red one and it is just a shade darker then Crystal Red, do not beleive either look orange in any light. Mine does look burgandy and darker in poor light but baby does she shine in the daylight!

As others have stated Crystal Red Met. is more on the candy red/dk. red side of the scale. I have not ever seen one no matter what the light conditons I'd call orangish.
The ONLY downside to Crystal Red is that is it very common amongst our club members whereas the Blue colors are not very common. To me that's not an issue but some may not like that aspect.
FWIW, mine is an '07 Monterey Red Met. which is slightly darker than Crystal.

I guess I would describe it as "blood red." There is no orange in it, at least to my eye. It's much brighter than "wine" or "burgundy" or "maroon."
Just go to a GM dealership. They use Crystal Red on other cars.

Yes the color is used on Cadillacs and Buicks as well. I have had so many people tell me that the Crystal Red Metallic Tintcoat is what makes my '09 coupe the stunningly beautiful car it is.
